HARVESTING

Patience is required for the harvest. It takes a long time from the planting to the harvest. The tree must have nutrients, water, and good cross pollination. It takes time to grow strong enough to bear the weight of the harvest. There are enemies which can hinder healthy fruit production like fungus and bark aphids.
Fruitful Christians also need proper nutrition, the living water and good fellowship with other believers.
Psalm 1:3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
We also need to be aware of the enemy who will battle fruit bearing with a passion; Satan, the ultimate parasite.
But, what a time of joy when the harvest is ready to be brought into the barns! Luke 15:10 "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (This speaks of the harvest.)
Reaping is hard work and calls for many workers. Luke 10:2 The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Are you praying for workers?

If you have been planted, growing, and blossoming in God's orchard, you could be nearing fruit bearing time. In John 15, Jesus spoke about bearing fruit. He emphasized that we cannot bear fruit on our own. We the branches, must concentrate on staying attached to the vine (or in our case the trunk.) When we are ready, we won't produce the fruit, we will simply bear it as Christ the Vine produces it in us.
